How It Works

It's so simple to track and save your calorie intake and calories burned:

The HealthFitCounter is so easy to use! The advanced touchscreen interface is intuitive. In just a matter of minutes you will understand how it works and how much easier it will be to control your diet.

Below you will learn the basics of how the HealthFitCounter works.

Setting Goals, adding foods eaten to the day, adding exercises performed to the day and viewing the foods eaten and exercises performed.

The Main Screen

The Main screen shows the total nutrient content of all items added to the day so far. The main screen also has action buttons along the right side labeled SELECT FOOD, GOALS, BALANCE, AVERAGE, FOODS EATEN, SELECT EXERCISE and EXERCISES DONE. The Date is located in the top Portion of the window.

 
The Goals Screen

The Item screen shows the nutrient content of each item selected. Adjust the "Portion" and then touch "Add to Day" and you have added this item into your daily totals.

 
The Select Foods Screen

The Foods Eaten screen allows the user to easily review what has been entered for any day and also allows easy access to editing portions or deleting an item already entered.

 
The Category View Screen

The Exercise Database consists of over 350 varied activities. After you select the exercise, input how many minutes you've exercised, and add it to the day, the calories burned will then appear on the main screen. The calories you burn will be based on the exercise and your height, weight, sex and age that you will input into the unit. You also have the option to not track exercises.

 
The Item Screen

After you have selected the food item you were looking for in the Category View screen. The Item screen shows the nutrient contents of the food item selected.

Simply adjust the "Portion" and then touch "Add to Day" and you have added this item into your daily totals.

The Foods Eaten Screen

The Foods Eaten screen is accessed by tapping on the "Foods Eaten" button on the Main screen.

The Foods Eaten screen allows the user to easily review what has been entered for any day and also allows easy access to editing portions or deleting an item already entered.

 
The Select Exercise Screen

The Exercise Database consists of over 350 varied activities organized into 12 categories. You can also search for a particular exercise using the "Search" button at the top of the screen.

Just tap on the category that best fits the exercise you have performed.

 
The Exercise Category View Screen

After you select the category your exercise is in, the various exercises in that category are displayed in a list.

Tap on the name of the exercise you desire.

 
The Exercise Detail Screen

After you select the exercise in the exercise category view, you will see the Exercise detail screen.

Now input how many minutes you've exercised, and add it to the day. The calories burned will then appear on the main screen.

The calories you burn will be based on the exercise and your height, weight, sex and age that you will input into the unit. You also have the option to not track exercises.

Double the Calories from Drinks

A study in Obesity Research found that American adults are getting almost twice as many calories from beverages as they did 7 years ago, and all those alcoholic beverages, sodas, fruit drinks and doctored coffees are contributing to the problem of adult obesity. Adults today get 21 percent of their calories from drinks, or about 222 calories a day. The data showed that people today are drinking more soda, fruit juice and alcohol and less whole milk than they were in 1965. Experts agree that calories from liquids don't register with the body the way solid food does.
